Nostr is a lightning network supported social network. It does not lock your data, does not invade your privacy and also allows the zaps of the lightning network. And it has made many people leave twitter and similar social networks which eat your data. 

Nostr and the Mastadon don’t have a strong algorithm to make people stay engaged. And this is because it does not track users and does not invade their privacy.

But now things are changing. Here the algorithms are coming which would make it easier for the people to find the algorithm based feeds which would make interactions easier.

Algorelay was featured few days back into the Nostr post. And people are going to be switching to it soon. Here the update is going to be making it easier to see who you interacted in past, present and also variety of the feed posts based on your interaction.

Is it good for the users? Yes, because your data is not shared, your data is not sold and also your data is being used for the content feed and also for the growth of the feed and the users in general.

This is good progress and mastadon and the bluesky like social network should do the same. And knowing how the changing relays would help people without losing the data and manipulation, this sounds like a good direction for Nostr.
