One of the many dangers we are exposed to when we make investments in cryptocurrencies is the manipulation of prices produced by the news.
A few days ago Vitalik Buterin (co-founder of Ethereum) made some comments about the CELO coin and it has risen rapidly reaching an increase of 47% in a week. This from my point of view is not good for the correct evolution of the market.
The prices of the coins should grow based on their technical advances, it is their adoption by people and not as a brute of some comments. I wonder: Are they a praise of the benefits of this coin and a statement with a double intention to make the coin grow and make a profit with the rise?
It must be taken into account that CELO made an update of its Blockchain on the 26th, which was a layer 1 compatible with EVM to a layer 2 Ethereum network. This is certainly a great step forward as it reduces network sending costs, but to have a 47% increase in a week, I see it as too much.
CELO's strong points are the possibility of having stablecoins, in fact, there is USDT in it. A very promising future in the DeFi ecosystem.
A coin to keep an eye on, but when its price corrects. Buying on FOMO has never been a profitable option.
