This is to announce that token distribution on KOY 2.0 was being carried out and completed successfully. It took place on the 8th of March 2024. KOY 2.0 is the real McKOY coming with features like Block Producers slot, KOY Jumuiya DAO Role being expanded, Antelope Access account restoration, A new blockchain infrastructure, account ownership and control, Organisational Reorganisation.
Currently, the KOY 2.0 Testnet is ongoing and dApp owners are now free to test their dApps on the new blockchain. dApps that were disrupted on the old blockchain can now reconnect on the new one.
Testnet decentralization will soon happen so that the testnet can be operated on multiple number of nodes. KOY Jumuiya DAO has now been recognised and given the role of being the main point of contact with the network's community.
With the aim of reshaping the African financial payment system, KOY 2.0 will boost digital literacy and financial inclusion in Africa.
The new version has deployed test Kenyan Shillings (KES) and test USD. The national currencies are being used for dApp testing on the testnet.
Antelope Access account owners are urged to check and confirm their accounts on the new blockchain. They can also drop feedbacks in the KOY Jumuiya DAO Telegram group.
