Enjoying profits from rising gold and silver prices, I’ve taken my money out of precious metals and am now looking for the next hidden gem. I think I’ve found it in the form of the emerald mineral Jadeite.
After previously taking part in some of Jade City’s Galxe quests, I had the pleasure of meeting the team at Zebu Live, a huge London-based crypto event, and learned a great deal about Jade in the process.
Needless to say, I directly asked for the opportunity to test the platform, and today I’ll be sharing the results with you. If you’d like to get the chance to get involved early, I suggest joining the projects social channels and asking for it the way I did. I’ll leave links at the end.
Earn Jade
The platform is on the Base Ethereum Layer-2, so enjoys tiny fees and very fast speeds. I was very quickly able to:
*Connect my wallet
*Purchase $JADE bonds with USDC
*Earn a yield of $JADE tokens
*Claim my yield of $JADE tokens as the bond matured
*Recieve my initial investment back

Each $JADE is linked to 1 real-world gram of Jadeite and there is plenty of data available for scrutiny in the Jade Data section of the platform:
Perhaps one of the most exciting features of Jade City reveals itself when you visit your profile section and get a glimpse of the future of the project.
Jade Citizenship
It looks like each user will begin with a default rank:
The suggestion here is that users will be able to rank up - likely through holding NFTs or a certain threshold of tokens - and unlock boosters to both their yield and the limit of funds that can be boosted.
It would be cool to see a narrative-driven journey for each user as they rise through the ranks, and I’m very excited about this project.
The Jade City website shows a yield of 40%, which is massive and likely a placeholder, but it does seem that there could be some very high yields on this platform; both in $JADE at a higher rate, and stablecoins at a lower rate.
