It’s rough times and I’m already in perhaps more than I should be, so don’t count on me buying in the dip, what I can tell you though is what I am doing with my assets to give me a better chance when the next rise comes. 

The basic idea is to increase the assets without increasing dollars spent. Now even though the assets don’t seem to be worth it with their current pricing, it’s important to keep in mind that it’s not the current price that you’re after, it’s the potential growth of this asset even just looking at the previous all time high. 

So let’s takes look Staking and Lending.

Let’s take one of my holding assets as an example, over the last few months I’ve been receiving on average over 8% interest through the promotions earning option on KuCoin and lending.

Now when you take into consideration compound interest, since there is a payout say every 30 days and in ten years (which I know is a long time and who knows if the interest rate will remain that profitable for that long and who knows if that platform will still be in use then) my asset will double! 

Combined with the belief that crypto will return to at least its all time high and hopefully go much higher every additional coin can be worth it. 

I know it’s very difficult to zoom out and look at the long term when it comes to a market that’s so volatile and of course I’m not counting on the above as a prediction, rather a way to justify spending the time to set up my assets in a way that they can grow and a way to keep hopeful due this long crypto winter. 

Obviously one needs to stay up to date when it comes to decisions about storing and trading crypto and it’s always important to keep your eyes and ears open.
