lots of moslems treat crypto as "haraam", forbidden because its looks like gamble. and gamble is very strictly prohibited in Islam religion.

as a moslem, me too think that crypto is Haraam (at first). But than i have this "enlighment" that change my perception and also change my view. now i join crypto world, invest small amount of fiat money into crypto (bitcoin, etherium, doge coin, cardano).

and this is the enlighment:

1. crypto vs fiat money.

Now we all live in a world where we use fiat money as a tool to run economy (bargain, sell, buy etc). Our God, Allah (we as moslem call our God by name: Allah) create gold and silver as a tool to run economy. by it self, gold and silver are valuable. i mean, if you find gold or silver, its still valuable even when you not print/shave it into some form/shape of "money" (make round shape with specific weight).

but fiat money, paper money, is not as valuable as gold and silver! its made by human law and againts God's law. so, in this case, i believe that Allah is not pleased by our choice to use "fiat money" as a economy tool.

the only reason why Allah forgive us for using fiat money, is because of "Dlarurat" (arabic, means: emergency). as long as we use fiat money for good cause (feeding our family, run bussines and help provide jobs for others etc), than we "allowed by Allah base on emergency" to use it and Allah will not treat us as a sin person who will get funishment in hell. this emergency is logically acceptable, because now we can't change our economy habbit and culture from fiat money back to gold and silver (yet). so many things in this world will collapse if we suddenly change from fiat to gold & silver.

this is the enlighment: if fiat money is Haraam but allowed because of emergency, than we can treat crypto money (cryptocurency) the same. it is haraam, but now because of emergency, it is allowed.

so everytime i meet a moslem who said Haraam to crypto, i will ask him/her: "in your pocket, do you have fiat money? if so, dont say crypto haraam. we both same, hehehe"

2. i can use crypto to help others. 

now i play Axie Infinity, game for earn crypto SLP. With SLP that i earned, i change it into fiat money (rupiah, Indonesian currency), and i :

• help my friend feeding his family (because his salary a month only 600 thousand rupiah, or around 42 US dollar a month)
• helping other friend who pass away. i support her son with money every month for paying the education fees
• making grocery packaged (rice, instan noodle, sesame oil, sugar etc) and give the package to poor family around neighbourhood.

this is the enlighment. and for me as a moslem, it works. now i can enjoy making social movement (as we should do as a moslem) without worry about the fund.
