One of the buzz words in the crypto and financial market is decentralized finance(DEFI). So let me share my story and experience that made me take to decentralized financial platforms like NEXO and BLOCKFI.
Early 2019, I had given myself a financial goal of saving 20% of my earnings monthly, as usual trying not to be conventional, I looked out for startups in the savings industry, and gave an order to my bank such that this company would take 20% of my earnings before it ever gets to me. Am sure there are many of you like me sitting on this table who have tried severally to save through out the year but of course responsibility and probably fun doesn't let it be. This of course necessited the need for a startup that is in this domain.
It was to be my major savings and my intention was to use it and get a property in one of the choicest places in my city. I had asked the price of the property and was certain that 20% of my salary for the next 12 months will get me the property, I have never been as meticulous as I was in keeping to this, I would drive pass the property everyday and was certain that it will be my property in 12 months.
Days turned to weeks, weeks to month, and months to a year and I was ready to get the property. So I called the property manager to make my bid so I can withdraw and pay. On calling the manager, I realized that the price of the property had risen by 8% of the cost by last year, and my savings just had a 2% profit which was only on gross, I pleaded the hell out of my life but the manager refused to sell. He told me there was someone willing and ready to pay in a week time, so I could do very little or nothing, I had to let it go. I drive pass that property everyday knowing I could have been the owner if I knew what I know now.
Well out of frustration I told my brother, after laughing me to scorn, he introduced me to NEXO and Blockfi a decentralized finance platform that I can make massive returns on my savings, so am using it and am sure not to miss my next property, I hope my story will help you not to muss yours too.
