Don't send 0.08 ETH to this address - it's a scam!!!

hello guys

The intrigue

I saw in the past days some Airdrops promoted by some Telegram bots or websites and one of them is Lotos Exchange.

The steps are as usual for the most of the airdrops, so nothing new here.

I forgot about it, but today I saw a post from a user on a Telegram group about the next step in getting the tokens from Lotos airdrop.

The action

and this kept my attention, because this way of operating is not new and is going only in a single direction: fooling the people.

Surprise! And good news for you, dear airdrop applicant: you just won an 0.928 ETH plus the airdrop!

This is the catch! Soooo, for becoming the lucky and one of the few winners of this unexpected contest, you need to "verify" your wallet if it is able to receive their prize. For this, you need to send just 0.08 ETH (almost 35$) at their address:

https://etherscan.io/address/0x188e2bDb16c5eb87Fd0F5086D7742dE6A857AF22

Look how is the situation with this account right now:

So, we have already 41 transactions to this address, many of them are with 0.08 ETH, so, unfortunatelly, dear friends, consider this as a learning to how to NOT act when some unknowns are sending you prizes.

Conclusion:

Don't send to anybody amounts for hoping of receiving back a multiplied sum.

How do you rate this article?
