• Why did I pick Ethereum as my next Crypto-Pick?

Ethereum does not need an explanation, it doesn't need to be introduced. Why? Because pretty much every third Altcoin is an erc20 token.

Well done, but it is not lightning fast it's actually quite congested and slow.

News like this was heard quite often this year.

But now Ethereum 2.0 is on it's way and this is what eth2.0 has to offer;

• More scalable
• More secure
• More sustainable

Quoting ethereum.org on these 3 issues

Scalability

Ethereum needs to be able to handle more transactions per second without increasing the size of the node in the network.The shard chain upgrade will spread the load of the network into 64 new chains. This will give Ethereum room to breathe...

Security

Ethereum 2.0 has improved against coordinated attacks, like a 51% attack.

Eth2.0 will transition into Prove of Stake which means that the Ethereum protocol has greater disincentives against attack. 

Sustainability

Ethereum is moving towards being secured by ETH, not computing power through proof of stake. Thinking of our environment last will make us all loose.

Summary 

Eth 2.0 why are you not here yet. But it seems implementation is nearer than some thought.

If Ethereum 2.0 will really be more sustainable more safe and last but not least maybe lightning fast I see a golden future for the Number 2 in Cryptography.
