Hello again! Thanks for stopping by to check out this blog post, the first in my Play-To-Earn gaming review blog. Today we’re going to be checking out and discussing Coin Hunt World. So without further adieu, let’s get into it.
What exactly is Coin Hunt World?
Coin Hunt World is a play-to-earn & free-to-play mobile Geo-location game, similar to Pokemon Go. It’s currently only available on Android & the iOS Beta is completely full.
Players walk to various destinations their map finding and collecting keys to open vaults, where they then have to answer a basic trivia question within a short time limit to earn a reward like Bitcoin or Ethereum! The topics can be about music, science, general knowledge and a few others and the questions themselves are generally super easy but the payouts aren’t a great deal. However if you’re an active person and love walking you could make a few quid (or dollars) a week from playing this game. Especially if you’re using their referral system and bringing friends on board. CHW has quite a rewarding referral program.
I’ve been playing for a couple of weeks now & I’ll write a breakdown of my earnings so far in a separate post to give you a better idea of how much you can make. For now, let’s talk about CHW and how to play it.
How to Play Coin Hunt World
Getting started in CHW couldn’t be easier. If you’re familiar with Pokemon Go then you will understand the concept. If you haven’t played it and aren’t familiar with Geo-Location games then allow me to briefly explain it to you.
You begin with a character known as a Cubie representing you and your position on the map. Below is a screenshot from my game and some CHW related activities dotted around we can discuss.
In this image I’ve added black arrows to 3 different points of interest on the map. These are going to be the most common things you come across - keys & vaults.

Keys & Vaults, What Are They & What Do They Do?
The furthest arrow towards the top of the image is a Blue Vault. You open these vaults with blue keys you collect (which is, you guessed it - the blue key emblem directly below it). Once you open the vault you will be given a relatively simple trivia question, if you get it right you get rewarded in Bitcoin or Ethereum as well as resin or paint - items you’ll need if you should be lucky enough to find a blueprint to print a new Cubie character (more on that in a separate post).
Key drops respawn every 24 hours, whereas vaults respawn depending on their tier. Blue vaults - every 12 hours, green vaults - every 24 hours, yellow vaults - weekly, red vaults - monthly.
Headquarters & High-tier Keys
The last emblem marked with the green smoke coming out is a Headquarters. To open your own HQ all you need to do is collect 10 blue keys, forge a green key and pick a location you are most of the day. Once you have a HQ you can collect blue keys from a mystery box every 8 hours.
Collecting as many blue keys as possible is a sound strategy early on as you can forge them for higher level keys, and a higher level key like the Yellow key for example can open up more of the game like the buy & sell market, where players can trade blueprints and other items found in game.
You will want a green or a yellow key on you just in case you should be lucky enough to come across a green or yellow vault. The higher level the vault and corresponding key, the higher the payout.
The order of keys from most common to most rare is; blue, green, yellow & red. To get each higher level key you need to trade each key up for them. Forging keys converts keys of one colour into the next higher tier by forging. (Eg: 10 Blue keys can be forged to make 1 Green Key. 10 Green keys can be forged to make 1 Yellow key, etc.)
It’s a good strategy to get a HQ up as quickly as possible which takes one Green Key to unlock. A great little system that’s paid me out quite a lot of keys the past week. Some have been as low as only 2 blue keys, but I did get a green key and then two lots of x6 blue keys in the same day which is equivalent to 22 keys. Very nice.
Something else worth considering once you have a HQ is opening a user vault. A user vault will return 5% of all keys used, not a bad little return considering you will be using keys a lot. One last note, it’s advisable to set your HQ up wherever your home is or wherever you spend the most time, you’ll want each of those mystery boxes every time they appear.
Just to give you an idea of how long that would take to collect some keys.. If I walked in one direction from my house for one hour I would only get between 5-10 blue keys. Of course this is dependent on the area you live in, but for the most part it seems like everything is relatively spaced apart. I don’t live in a major city, but I can imagine and have read of more events and higher level vaults available.
Thoughts So Far
I’m only a couple of weeks into the game, but I know now I made a few early mistakes. Instead of using all my blue keys on blue vaults immediately I should have stockpiled them. It makes sense to get a HQ and a user vault together so that when you start using keys you get a little something back from them in your vault instead of them being gone forever. Handy bit of advice for new players.
Overall the game is pretty cool! Admittedly, it’s not the most exciting or entertaining game but other than putting on your shoes and going out for a walk, it doesn’t demand your time, skills & attention. But I can confirm you actually earn crypto & it’s genuinely free to play unlike most P2E Crypto that have a ridiculous pay wall.
Definitely a good start for anyone looking to earn a little Crypto without any capital or initial investment.
