I'm trying to run the Fuel numbers on FireFaucet, but I met Royce White at the whatever podcast on YT and I really can't concentrate.
Ok, back on topic.
I've been using FireFaucet for a long time, but I've never really grinded it. I used to take the daily bonus and do some faucet claims. The new version (5.1) changed things a bit, especially with the introduction of Fuel, which removed the ability to have the Auto Faucet running constantly with basically no effort.
In the previous version, the Auto Faucet worked mainly on the amount of ACP (Auto Claim Points) you had. ACP is basically the site's currency, which you can turn into the various coins.
Now Fuel changed the equation, or better, the whole math.

Between ACP and Fuel, the first is very plentiful, while the second is scarce.
Please note that if you grind a lot, you can also directly convert ACP into one or more coins. But:

Direct conversion costs 5% in fees (and while ACP is abundant enough for running the Auto Faucet, it is not abundant in terms of value once converted).

You get no AP. Activity Points are the points needed to level up, and direct conversion does not grant them.
APs are important because levelling up is very good on FF. You get a reward and better ACP conversion rates.
Running the Auto Faucet is more efficient in two ways. But now the ACP amount is rarely consumed before the Fuel reserve, so keeping the Auto Faucet running constantly is mostly a matter of how much Fuel you have.
How much Fuel can we get ?
At low/mid levels, the base Fuel generated is around 10–15 per hour. Every unit of Fuel is one minute of Auto Faucet time; basically one claim.
In my case, I get 13 Fuel per hour.
That means I get:
13 × 24 = 312 Fuel per day
That's a bit more than 5 hours of Auto Faucet time.
But it's important to note that while those 5+ hours of Auto Faucet are running, my Fuel is also regenerating. So the Fuel generated during those hours gives me some additional Auto Faucet time, which generates more Fuel, and so on.
In short, we can calculate the total like this:
312 / (1 − 13/60) = 398 Fuel
398 minutes = 6 hours and 38 minutes
So, even with the Fuel regenerating while the Auto Faucet is running, I'm still very far from 24 hours.
It's possible, however, to do various activities to get bonus Fuel. Let's look at three levels of grinding.
A) Daily bonus (25 Fuel) + first 10 faucet claims (50 Fuel) + faucet tasks (35 Fuel) = 110 Fuel
B) Adding 5 offerwall tasks (200 Fuel) + the bonus for completing 8 tasks (90 Fuel) = another 290 Fuel
C) All tasks, including shortlinks = another 340 Fuel
So, assuming A, B and C are cumulative, the resulting Auto Faucet time is:

B → 15h 12m

C → 22h 23m
For me, it's basically impossible to have the Auto Faucet running non-stop, even with hard grinding and assuming I never sleep. 😂
With the minimal activity, scenario A, I would need roughly 28 Fuel per hour to have the Auto Faucet running continuously for 24 hours.
So, for me, Level 340 is the goal.
Yeah, I like these math calculation, everybody has their hitches.
Best Practice
Considering that the Payout Boost reduces the amount of AP gained per Auto Faucet cycle, I think we should leave it at 1x.
Meanwhile, all the activities we do to grab Fuel also produce a nice amount of ACP.
Therefore, the best way to maximize both output and level progression is to select a lot of coins to claim at the same time.
The issue is that the time before we can withdraw will be longer than when using a 4x payout boost or directly converting ACP.
But there is no perfect solution.
