I was invited to try out a Web3 game called *Pixels*. So, I gave it a go.
Web3 gaming is entering an entirely new era. While the previous generation of "Play-to-Earn" (P2E) games relied on highly inflationary tokens and economic models that lacked long-term sustainability, a new trend is emerging: the integration of GameFi with Real-World Assets (RWA).
Signing up for the game is quick and straightforward. You can register using your phone number, email, or a crypto wallet like MetaMask, OKX Wallet. The only requirement is having—or creating—a Ronin Wallet; you can’t play without one.
Here is what the game looks like:

As for the gameplay itself, there’s nothing particularly complex; everything is accessible and intuitive—you simply follow the instructions provided in the tasks.
I was also introduced to a similar game Craft World, though it features different characters and a different theme.

As I played more and learned how everything functions, I became curious about how to withdraw and convert the tokens. That’s when I discovered something that really disappointed me: to withdraw any coins from the game to your own wallet, you have to purchase a subscription. This measure is apparently designed to combat bots, which could otherwise devalue the token.
According to a subscriber—since I only signed up today—the earning process works like this: you accumulate tokens over the course of about a month (amounting to roughly $30–$50), and then you purchase a subscription to unlock the ability to withdraw your funds. Well, that doesn't sound too great... (((
If I don't end up dropping these games, I’ll add an update on how much I managed to earn and how much time it took.
If you have any experience with games like these, let me know in the comments!
