Bitcoin's chart is King. When it goes up, other coins move up too. Down moves are the same. BTC moves all the Bitcoin blockchain based coins. BTC moves ETH and the Ethereum blockchain coins most of the time. I find it very useful whey day trading to have a BTC chart on the left, and a ETH chart or the altcoin I'm trading on the right like this five minute video shows.
Watching the BTC chart gives you a few seconds or minutes advance warning of what your coin is most likely to do. When BTC moves up sharply, I buy my favorite coin of the day. When it starts a flash crash I usually have enough time to get out quickly to avoid losing a lot of money. I can't explain why most charts follow Bitcoin's but I know it to be true after watching one minute crypto charts many hours a day for over two years.
Test this for yourself. Load up two charts side-by-side. Bitcoin on the left, and your favorite coins on the right. Now look at every time frame like I did and compare. Does the Bitcoin chart really move first, and most other coins soon follow it's lead?
