Security alert platform Cyvers detected suspicious transactions of digital assets worth $234.9 million have taken place from WazirXIndia's safe multisignature wallet on the ETH network.
TornadoCash Movement
The Cyvers claimed that all those transactions are funded by TornadoCash. Cyvers believes WazirXIndia's safe wallets have been compromised. The strange case of WazirX's hacking attracted the attention of crypto seluths, resulting in no way out.
My Point
Similar to some analysts who are considering it an insider job of WazirX, I too believed that this is a scam by WazirX. The investment of Indian users is stuck in it. But, some analysts consider it "karma" that WazirX looted them, and someone looted it. So my point is both.
Arkham Bounty & ZachXBT
Arkham announced a bounty to investigate the WazirX hack for ‘Identifying a KYC centralised exchange deposit’. Crypto detective ZachXBT was declared the winner of this bounty.
ZachXBT has investigated the WazirX hack but has failed to get to the bottom of it. He has speculated that the notorious North Korean Lazarus Group may be involved in the attack.
