Privacy is not protected even with ZKP
World Digital ID uses zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP), so it is considered reliable by many critics, but Buterin has said that its "one ID per person" model undermines users' privacy by linking them to just one identity.
One identity is unnecessary for privacy
Many experts are of the opinion that World ID will threaten the decentralized ethos of Web3. Against this, Buterin has suggested a pluralistic identity system without centralized control, as this allows individuals to maintain multiple digital personas, thereby protecting people's online privacy.
My point
ZKP is an advanced privacy technology, but I think a single digital identity system increases the risk of tracking users' activities. It's good that Satoshi left to avoid a single identity, otherwise he would have had problems. You too keep your privacy.
