Bitget's Robust System
Bitget's Proof of Reserves (PoR) for January 2026 has been released, showing an average reserve ratio of 163%. If this is to be believed (as many analysts do), Bitget has more than enough assets to cover customer funds. For Bitcoin, the ratio is 254%, which is very secure. This is why many analysts consider it as trustworthy as Binance.
Transparency and Trust
Bitget utilizes Merkle Tree technology for audit verification. Additionally, Nansen tracks Bitget's hot and cold wallets 24/7. Besides reserves, liabilities are also audited by 0xScope. The veracity of these reserves can be verified through open-source code available on GitHub.
My Point
While Bitget's consistent monthly PoR updates have undoubtedly boosted its popularity, it also provides a degree of assurance regarding the safety of customer funds, even during a bank run. However, I would still advise caution, as it is an exchange, and with exchanges, you are subject to regulatory policies.
