Binance has updated the daily BNB balance calculation mechanism in its Launchpad with a revision to ensure a fair opportunity for all participants.

Why was rule changed?

Binance recently announced the Space ID Launchpad after it was discovered that some users had massively borrowed BNB from other platforms and deposited it for Launchpad. This high frequency made the competition difficult for ordinary users, and gives significant edge to borrowers. 

Effects of the change 

To address this situation, Launchpad participants will not have their daily BNB balance record available until March 22, 2023, at 2:30 PM UTC. This status will not affect the VIP level of the users or the referral program. Change in calculation algorithm will give equitable user experience for all users.

How Serious is this ? 

Overall, it is a good attempt considering that this is the first time. The first test for it is the Web3 domain Space ID token. Binance might endeavour to close any gaps if there are any.
