Under the hashtag #stopcraigwright - members of the Bitcoin community have decided to create a web portal with the objective of denying the statements of Craig Wright, who has proclaimed himself on several occasions as the real Satoshi Nakamoto.

A total of 54 documents, consisting of screenshots, investigations, statements of personalities of the ecosystem and own claims of Wright, are part of all the material stored in the portal as evidence that the Australian businessman can not provide sufficient evidence to prove that It's Satoshi Nakamoto.

The information gathered on the page, which according to its members was voluntarily provided by Bitcoin users, also suggests that Wright could be behind several cases of plagiarism and identity theft. This type of accusations already weighs on the self-proclaimed Satoshi Nakamoto, after the members of Wikileaks, the investigator Peter R. Rizun of Bitcoin Unlimited and the security company WizSec published reports denying the businessman, investigations that are also compiled in the portal.

IN THE LOOK

Since the launch of Bitcoin to the market in 2009, many have been awarded the title of "the creator of Bitcoin." However, the name of Craig Wright has been the most famous and controversial of recent times, since he has taken his case to regulatory bodies, has wanted to patent applications based on Bitcoin and has initiated various complaints with different personalities of the ecosystem - such as Vitalik Buterin and Jack Liao - based on the assumption that he is Satoshi.

The "Stop Craig Wright" initiative is totally anonymous and is not the only one of its kind. In recent years both developers and Bitcoin users have made statements and campaigns discrediting Wright's claims, even being nicknamed as "Faketoshi".

The last campaign led by an influencer of the ecosystem has been that of bitcoiner @hodlonaut who promoted the hashtag #CraigWrightIsAFraud on Twitter. However, this initiative has cost its creator a claim for alleged defamation. Also, Wright offered a reward to anyone who can unveil the identity of the twiter, an action that has not sit well in the community and has unleashed a wave of publications in solidarity with @hodlonaut.

The social networks of "stop Craig Wright" were created in the heat of this last event, for which they could be related. Beyond these events, the creators of the page say they do not want to form any trial on the Web, but let users "draw their own conclusions" about Wright, an assertion that turns out to be ironic in the middle of all the information stored and categorized in the portal.
