Binance states that it has covered $6 billion —95% of the $6.34 billion stolen— and resumed withdrawals on Sunday, November 1, 2026. The coverage was drawn from three sources over three days: $581 million (7,499 BTC) from the Secure User Fund (SAFU), which Binance committed to topping up to as much as $1 billion; roughly $425 million from the Futures Insurance Fund; and some cash from the corporate balance sheet. Binance also said it will use OTC channels to acquire the remaining assets, and noted that the main assets are already 100% covered, with about 5% more still to be covered based on proof of reserves.
Withdrawals resumed, in stages. As of November 1st, per an official Binance announcement, the platform restored withdrawals of USDC, USDT, and ETH on the Ethereum network, along with withdrawals of USDC, USDT, and BNB on the BNB Smart Chain (BSC) network. Earlier, the platform had already enabled withdrawals on the Bitcoin network. Almost immediately afterward, an OKX quote showed BTC climbing past $78,000.
According to Binance, once security checks are complete, it will gradually bring back withdrawals for additional assets and networks. In the last hours, the platform has also restored SOL, USDT, and USDC withdrawals on the Solana network; ARB, ETH, USDT and USDC on the Arbitrum network, and TRX and USDT on the TRX network.
