BTC faucets was my introduction into the world of cryptocurrencies over 6 years ago. I would have shown no interest in crypto, had it not been for faucets. Faucets have come and gone, and my go-to faucets have been the coinpot list of faucets. Sadly, that project has come to an end on 31January 2021.
Luckily, I have continued to use other faucets. So at least I have them to use up my time, and earn some crypto in the process. Some of the faucets are not widely known or advertised, and I thought I'll list the ones I use today.
Referrals
I have been very active from my earnings from faucets, which have been about 0.6 BTC over time, and about 0.5 percent of that have been from referrals. I know some people make heaps from referrals, but I have not explored that option seriously.
The links I provide below will have both a referral or non referral link. Choose which you want to use if you decide to check them out.
Freebitco.in
Freebitcoin has been one of my first faucets and I actually suspect it was my first faucet. When I registered, the hourly payout was around 200 satoshis. Sadly the current is 1 satoshi. Nonetheless, the faucet and its partner dodgecoin faucets have earned me over $100 which I have withdrawn, with zero referrals.
It is reliable, it pays, and has a historical link with the crypto world, and will continue to receive my support. And best of all, no ads.
Almost everyone already has an account, but if you don't, take a look.

Bet Fury
Betfury is a betting site, strictly speaking, but also has a faucet which provides you 5 satoshis every 20 minutes. They started at 25, and had a month of 75 satoshis during their birthday promotion. The intention of the faucet is to provide funds that you can use for gambling. You could however choose to not gamble and withdraw.
I have deposited BTC, to invest in interest bearing boxes, and was able to withdraw. However, withdraw fees reduced the profits. We are speaking about small amounts so I didn't make a killing. Still, it shows the site pays out. I did want to remove my funds as soon as possible as I was unsure about their reliability. I currently have about 20 000 satoshis in boxes that I have not closed (because I might gamble it away), but I plan to increase my faucet balance to withdraw at least 500 000 satoshis.
Betfury is probably one of the most referred sites on publish0x so I don't expect any referral sign-ups. I have none but their referral program is quite rewarding for active signs ups.
There are no external ads. The captha does appear troublesome. I would recommend using a larger screen to get around the poor pictures in the capctha.

Bitmaker and Bitpick
I am grouping these together because they are related somehow.
The two projects have an hourly faucet and optional multiplier and games. What is interesting is that they both have no ads, so I am not sure where their faucet funds are coming from.
I originally clicked on link to BTCmaker from a post of publish0x, snd while navigating through their FAQ suddenly realized I was on the Bitpick site, and ended up registering on both. BTCmakers current payout is 5 satoshis and BItpick is 15, ranking it as one of the higher paying faucets. They are both generally easy to use although Bitpick has a captcha system that really sucks and forces a login more often than its partner project.
I have not withdrawn from either site but my research has not indicated them to be not paying projects. I could be wrong.

GramFree
First off, let me be clear that I am beginning to suspect more and more that this is a non-paying site, but I cannot figure their modus operandus if they are indeed a scam site.
In any case, Gramfree is an earning platform that provides earnings via an hourly roll, and daily videos and "smart contracts confirmations", although I have not figured out how this works exactly. You can also earn by referrals and uploads if videos promoting the project. There are no ads.
Nonetheless the payout amount is high and withdraw limit low (Ding, ding, anyone).
There are no ads and no captchas.
Check it out and make up your own mind.

Free Litecoin
Free Litecoin seems to be a replica of the paying site Freebitcoin, but for LTC.
I have not withdrawn, but have read that it is a paying site. Judge for yourself.
The site has ads and captchas but is not overrun with ads.

Earn Bit Coin
Earn bitcoin is a bit of a strange animal. I read of payments and I read of non-payments. However, I have given them the benefit of the doubt and assumed they are a paying site.
While I have long passed the widthdraw limit of 100 000 sats, they are one of the higher paying faucets, so I have kept my funds until I am able to make a widthdrawal and have sufficient for another.
I should add that a bulk of my earning have come from initial referrals of 10 000 sats for referral. However, they have in time tightened the rules to make it more difficult to earn the referral reward.
The site has other tasks like surveys but I do not utilise them.
The site has ads but they are not obtrusive and the site is not overrun with them.

Update : I now call scam on Earn Bit Coin. A withdraw request has been outstanding for over 39 days and all my emails to support have been ignored.
Free Faucet
Free faucet is a paying site that has a few ways of earning, including faucets for BTC, LTC, ETH and Brazia ; pay to click ads and surveys, which I do not use.
Please note that the site wallet is currently offline. The site owner says this is due to the site moving to a new geographical location. How true this is I cannot say.
Another downside is that you can claim once daily, making its low paying site. However, every satoshi counts. and if your aim is collecting coins,. give it a look.
