Join the NFT Card Collecting Revolution: Get the 2021 Topps Series 1 Baseball NFTs on WAX while you still can

As a lifelong collector of cardboard trading cards, I never imagined myself saying this, but I am completely enamored with digital collectibles. NFTs have revolutionized the game, and I'm here to explain why. I first learned about NFTs back in 2017 during the CryptoKitties craze, and I even minted a couple of kitties myself. However, my true entrance into the world of digital collectibles began in May 2021 when Topps released their iconic Original Series One (OS1) Garbage Pail Kids on the WAX Blockchain. The pack sale sold out in approximately 24 hours, and I was instantly hooked. I traded with my OG GPK Brotherhood and forged friendships that will last a lifetime and be forever immortalized on the blockchain. Collecting has always been about friendships and shared interests, and in that spirit, I write this article.

One of the most compelling aspects of NFTs is their unique digital identity and ownership. Each NFT is a one-of-a-kind digital asset with its own unique history, stored on the blockchain forever. This means that every NFT is a unique piece owned and controlled exclusively by its rightful owner. It's like owning a piece of history that cannot be replicated, duplicated, or forged. That's the power of NFTs.

But the benefits of digital collectibles don't stop there. Let's take a closer look at the first-ever Topps MLB NFT collection. It celebrates 70 years of Topps Baseball, showcasing modern-day stars in new and classic Topps card designs. Collectors will find their favorite players reimagined as digitally enhanced, officially licensed NFT collectibles – ushering in a new age of collecting to highlight baseball’s rich history on this Platinum Anniversary.195a7dc85fc5a674a1bb548654128927db6b5b27f47ce71abdc2ecaddd7ea62e.png

The 330-card base set is divided into three categories of white border Commons, numbered between 1-2657, Gold border Uncommons numbered between 1-881, and my personal favorite, the Rainbow Refractor Rare, which are numbered between #1 and only 402.

The Epics collection includes three different subsets, each with its own unique design and features. The Team cubes showcase two different players using three images on a rotating animated cube, while the Red Facsimile Signatures and Super Short Prints offer even more variety and collectibility.

The Epic Exclusives collection takes things even further, featuring the entire 330-card base set using two different subsets for each card. The Independence Day variation features an animated border of beautiful blue and red stars, while the 70th anniversary variation shows an animated silver border with the 70th-anniversary logo.

The Legendary Exclusives are truly one-of-a-kind, featuring 25 NFTs that are 1-of-1 70th Anniversary Facsimile Signatures and 1986 Anniversary Chrome Facsimile Signatures with a very low population count ranging from as low as 9 to as high as 29.

And finally, the Event Exclusives offer collectors two subsets: the 1952 Redux with 50 cards numbered #1-600 which only came from packs you could get by burning cards from the base common set to get a pack of 2 cards in weekly challenges that took place shortly after pack opening got underway, and the "Opening Day Base" with 10 different cards to collect numbered #1-5000. Don't worry, you can still buy some packs on secondary but seriously, who knows how much longer they will last.

As someone who has spent their life collecting physical trading cards, I can say without a doubt that the benefits of digital collectibles are unparalleled. Each NFT is a one-of-a-kind digital asset, owned and controlled exclusively by its rightful owner, with an account you can own and control yourself on the blockchain forever. This is the true power of NFTs and digital collectibles. The middlemen are taking their last breath with this new revolution.

So don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to own a valuable and unique piece of history. Trust me, as someone who has made the switch from cardboard to digital, it's a decision you won't regret.
