What an amazing news in the crypto world, you couldn't miss it, Salvador has become the first country to adopt $BTC as official currency.
What does it mean ?
If this law is validated by the Salvador government, shopkeepers wouldn't be able to reject a BTC payment. Of course, we can imagine that the implementation of it could take about 1 year or even more as everybody will need to make changes related to it.
Will other countries follow the way ?
It has already been announced, and yes, Salvador is not the only country thinking about adopting BTC as an official currency. Panama and Tanzania are interested about making this move and influent people involved in crypto are trying to convince Ethiopia to adopt cryptocurrencies.
30$ in BTC for every Salvador citizens

Salvador president has promised that he'll be giving 30$ in BTC for every citizen 18 years of age or older. It is about 117 billions dollars. We can think the country is making it in order to prevent himself from the inflation and a potential loss of the "real" value of their local currency.
Do you think we can expect, one day, to have some very rich country adopting Bitcoin as an official currency ?
