Earlier this year the team at Socios.com announced the huge monetary investments to push out of Europe and into North America. Initally I was skeptical as they seemed to still focus mostly on soccer and some professional gaming teams. Within the last couple of weeks though that has really really changed.
Today alone the announced fan tokens for 3 different Professional Cricket Teams in India. The Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders have all signed onto the platform. With Cricket being the number two sport in the world and very popular in both Europe and the Middle East/South East Asia. I do not know much about this sport since it is not big in the United States but it’s a really cool development to see for sure!
On the American side of the world two huge teams announced their foray into Fan Tokens. The first NASCAR team to sign up has happened and it’s a doozy! Roush Fenway Racing team has signed on and with token ownership fans have the ability to utilize AR-enabled features and even stuff like voting on car paint schemes!
The other team to sign on is the National Soccer Team for Argentina! How I find this one super unique with what they can allow to be voted on is a lot more constrained due to international competition. They are just the latest though in a string of roughly 7 teams to sign on recently to this blockchain fan engagement system!
