Well, the last votes were cast yesterday and with 100% of the vote, Harvest has decided to move forward with its investment in Steady State! Personally, I am really intrigued by DeFi applications investing in new projects to help them get a start. Especially with how the voting is done with any token holders able to take part it is an idea that I really like. Investments like this allow platforms like Harvest to continue to offer better returns as they get into the action earlier and diversifying from their base.
With the close of the Steady State investment, a second one has been presented to holders. The investment is into a new DeFi portfolio protocol called DeFi Basket. DeFi Basket allows users to build, copy, or manage portfolios of DeFi investments in a SINGLE transaction. Currently, a proof of concept is live on the Polygon mainnet that can be found via defibasket.org. This investment would be a $20,000 USD investment for 0.333% of the network's tokens.
As it stands right now Harvest and DeFi Basket are working together to integrate Harvest into the protocol. This would allow users to be able to manage their holdings in different deposits on the platform and this is something I am really looking forward to. Being able to manage this and lower the amount of gas you have to spend is key for furthering DeFi esp. with fees as high as they are at the moment.
