While OpenSea has been the long time go to place for Ethereum NFTs times could be changing! LooksRare is a new NFT market that has done what so many have wanted OpenSea to do. They airdropped there governance token LOOKS and launched their own market place! WIthin the first day ALONE there was $110 MILLION in NFT transactions on the site!
The LOOKS airdrop was done in a way to benefit those who have recently used OpenSea as those who spent at least 3 ETH between June and December 21, 2021 were eligible for the drop. LooksRare further incentivizes people to hold their governance token because they disperse their fee they charge to token holders. They also have a lower fee then OpenSea has with LooksRare charging 2% and OpenSea charging 2.5%. I plan on doing a write up about this new NFT marketplace later so lets talk about how Harvest is invovled.
Harvest is currently offering a farm via Uniswap V2 that is LOOKS-WETH! Something I particularly liked about this farm off the bat was that it was a Uniswap V2 farm so you do not have to worry about ranges! It is also offering CRAZY yields right now that are high no matter how you look at it! Right now the farm offers 10,000%+ APY with 10,000%+ coming from the autoharvested LOOKS token! It also has iFARM emission which are currently at 471%! If you are like me and you have partaken in farms before for the iFARM/FARM emissions this one is killing it right now! If you want to grow your LOOKS bag well it is autoharvested for you so you do not have to worry!
Overall I love to see a farm development like this for a couple of reasons. The first is finally someone is taking on OpenSea and at the same time is giving the people what they want.... decentralization of a platform! Further it is nice to see Harvest being able to rapidly create test and deploy a new farm since LooksRare is days old! Maybe this will spur some change in OpenSea as they have already had a couple of people base airdrops off of really their lack of them! Also the yeilds of this farm remind me of the good old days of about a year ago when this time of APY was common or at least likely to see!
