Binance: Trying to Release Some Good News in a Sea of Negative News Part 2

In my previous article, which you can read here,  I really hit the negative news that has besieged Binance over the years and in particular what has occurred this year. That is not to say though it is all bad news as the Binance NFT Marketplace has shown! While it does not carry the volume of OpenSea on Ethereum Binance's NFT marketplace is not all that bad!

They also got a HUGE boost yesterday when it came out that Binance's NFT Marketplace had partnered with State Hermitage Museum. The partnership is going to result in digital NFT's a collection of some of the museum's most important pieces of art. It is important to note that you do not own the works or art in question rather you own this digital reproduction. The collection itself is comprised of 5 pieces of art from some of the most well-known artists in history.

Who made the cut for this collection you must be wondering? Well, Leonardo da Vinci, Giorgione, Vincent Van Gogh, Wassily Kandinsky, and Claude Monet made the cut! The five NFTs will have the paintings "The Madonna and Child" by Leonardo da Vinci, "Judith" by Giorgione, "Lilac Bush" by Vincent Van Gogh, "Composition VI" by Wassily Kandinsky, and "Corner of the Garden at Montgeron" by Claude Money. What I find curious about this NFT idea is that a "copy" of the NFT will be kept by the museum to be displayed while the original goes to the auction winner.

This is a rather interesting take on NFTs and blending the digital world and art world. I am not sure how I feel about it to be honest by I know it will most likely be a huge hit. Bidding is set to start at 10,000 BUSD the Binance stablecoin pegged to the USD. I would not anticipate it selling for millions of dollars like an original by any of these artists would naturally go for.

A partnership though for Binance from an institution like a museum though is a pretty big deal and will definitely help out it developing NFT marketplace! I had never really thought of even looking at Binance's marketplace until I read this article and it made me wonder if some hidden gems could be located on there. Overall though it is just a nice fresh breath of air for Binance and a reason to be in the headlines that are not negative or ominous.
