Today, BTC is at its lowest value that it has been to in a long while.
It is likely about as low as it's going to get before it skyrockets again to very high values.
That is, unless it all crashes first. Which it will one day. There will come a day when the whole system breaks and everyone who has any money in it will no longer be able to access it. Anyone who understands how the system works will likely agree with this assumption.
Whether from hackers, bugs, infrastructure sabotage, or the built-in programming, Bitcoin will stop working one day, and nobody will be able to access it.
One strategy I have, to counteract this certain future failure, is that I work to double any original seed money that I put in, and then once I've doubled it, I take out the original part, so that even if I lose everything I have in, I'm only losing profit, and I don't realize any actual loss of funds.
At this point, it doesn't matter, for me, what happens to cryptocurrency. I understand it's going to stop working one day, and I'm ok with that. I am enjoying working the system while it's working, and I'll be amused when it stops working.
A lot of people will not be so amused, but will be mentally shattered, as they have put everything they have into it, and when they can no longer access it, they will suffer mental and emotional difficulties, compounded by the financial straits they will find themselves in.
The Bible talks a lot about money. Jesus Christ gives us some wisdom about our treasures, which we should heed. We should not count our money as our treasure, but we should look to find spiritual treasure in each day, in every interaction with others.

19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Matthew 6.19-21
