*Smile
As the morning sun peeks through the window, its warm rays gently caress your face, coaxing you awake. You slowly open your eyes and a smile forms on your lips as you realize that you have been given another day of life. The soft sheets and comfortable pillows surround you, offering a sense of peace and security. As you stretch your limbs and take in a deep breath, you feel grateful for the simple but precious gift of waking up. And even though there is no one else in the room, you can't help but smile at the thought of all the possibilities and opportunities that lie ahead.
Because while someone may not have woken up today, you did - and that is something to be celebrated. As you start your day, remember to spread that joy and gratitude by sharing a smile with those around you, because for some people, this morning may be filled with sorrow and loss. But for you, it is a chance to embrace life and make each moment count. Everyone who is dear to you woke up – Wow! It’s a great day, isn’t it? Then go out and take a look at the trees. They didn’t die last night either.
You may think this is ridiculous, but you will know the reality of it when someone dear to you doesn’t wake up. Don’t wait till then to realize the value of it. It is not something ridiculous, this is the most valuable thing – that you are alive and everything that matters to you is alive. When on this disastrous night so many people did not wake up and the loved ones of so many others did not wake up, you and your loved ones woke up. Isn’t it a fantastic event? Appreciate it and smile at least. Learn to look at a few people lovingly.
*Forgiveness
Life is too short and valuable to remain stuck in patterns that don’t serve you. When you are unable to forgive someone, it holds you back from fully experiencing life. Much energy is diverted to maintaining a grudge or similar when that energy could instead be directed toward creating the life you want. There are techniques to help you through this process; the freedom and lightness you will feel can be life changing.
It’s important to stay present and accept pleasure and pain as part of your journey to spiritual health and balance. Your ego naturally leans toward pleasure and comfort. It takes concerted effort and discipline to begin exploring the truth of who you are and creating a stronger connection to your true self. Try one or two things from this list. Keep it simple. If what you try doesn’t do much for you, try something else. This is a sacred journey and there is no right or wrong path. The most important thing is that you stay true to yourself while implementing any self-care plan.
Lastly, May Good Things Come in Your Life.
