According to a recent article by the CoinFlip team, purchasing your cryptocurrency online using your debit or credit card is much simpler than you probably think.
All along, CoinFlip has championed the purchase of Bitcoin on their Bitcoin ATMs. However, recently in a post from last month, customers started purchasing cryptocurrencies on their website.
The choice to purchase a digital coin should not be taken lightly, mainly if you are a new investor. Ensure that you take your time to conduct enough research on a particular coin before deciding to buy it.
Purchasing Crypto online with CoinFlip
The following is a breakdown of how to purchase your cryptocurrency online with CoinFlip. They are working in partnership with Simplex to avail as many options as they can on your mobile device.
- Visit the CoinFlip sales and purchases page
- Select your Crypto of choice
CoinFlip has partnered with Simplex to avail a wide variety of digital coins. This includes TRX, QTUM, ICX, HBAR, EOS, ATOM, DAI, XLM, DASH, BOB, DOGE, LTC, ETH, and of course BTC.
Unfortunately, USDC and LINK are yet to be listed, and the only way to purchase them at the moment is to visit your CoinFlip ATM.
At the end of this step, you have the option to enter the exact amount of Crypto you would like to purchase.
- Enter the value of your purchase in fiat
This applies if you skipped the last part of step two. You can either enter the value of your purchase in US Dollars or other fiat currencies like the Pound Sterling or the Euro. The transaction limit on Simplex is between $50 to $20,000.
- Provide your wallet address
It is best to copy and paste this string of numbers from your address box to avoid unnecessary confusion.
- Provide your debit or credit card information
You can either pay with Visa or MasterCard; Simplex recommends debit cards instead of credit cards to avoid paying advance fees. You can save your card for future purchases.
The next step is to enter your billing address and other personal details such as your birth date, phone information, and email.
- Email verification
You will receive a 4-digit code from Simplex on your email address. You will be required to copy the code onto a box on the screen to proceed.
- Upload your ID
For any purchases larger than $150, you are required to upload a valid picture of your Identification card. The picture must be original and not a copy, the text must be readable, and all four corners must be visible. Ensure to enter your ID's expiration date in the details section.
- Verification
Be on the lookout for an email from Simplex. If the transaction goes through, you will see a charge on your credit card. Your Crypto will then automatically be transferred into your crypto wallet instantly.
