By marjuanm | Brushstrokes of the Day | 1 Sep 2025

Hello everyone:

Welcome to this first post on this new blog. My name is Manuel. I live in Mexico and I enjoy taking photographs of my surroundings, including gardens, flowers, clouds, landscapes, etc.

I'll be sharing my work here. I really appreciate your time and visits, and I hope you enjoy it. Thanks in advance.

These are hibiscus flowers, a very characteristic ornamental plant in Mexican gardens. Here, it's commonly known as "tulips".

They're not tulips, but a very different plant, but equally beautiful for its flowers. The plant grows up to about two meters, and there are several varieties that produce flowers of different colors.
