Assalamualaikum.
Hello everyone. How are you all? I am fine by the grace of almighty. Hope you are also fine.
First of all, I would like to thank @selina1 for organizing such a wonderful contest. Fast food items have become very popular among everyone these days. And everyone likes to eat any fast food item very much. However, street foods are the most popular among fast food. Among them, the most popular are fuchka and chatpoti. Which everyone likes to eat very much. However, if you want to eat healthily, you should definitely make it at home. And that is why I try to make fuchka and chatpoti at home. And just like that, I joined today's contest with a delicious chatpoti.
My family likes to eat the makh makh chatpoti very much. However, in this case, many people use potatoes. On the other hand, many do not use potatoes. I have used potatoes here and tried to cook it a little differently. Since the double boots have to be soaked for a long time, that is why I had previously soaked these pulses and boiled them with salt and turmeric. After that, I did the entire processing. In between, I have also prepared boiled potatoes and boiled eggs. So that I can make it very easily. When eating it quickly, it feels a little better if you give it a salad item. That's why I added chopped onion and chopped cucumber. Anyway, I hope everyone likes this recipe of mine.
Ingredients required for making Chatpoti
Ingredients Quantity Boiled Double Boot 2 cups Chatpoti Spice 4 tbsp Fried Red Chillies 10 piece Coriander Leaves As needed Chopped Onion 1/2 cup Chopped Green Chilli 2 piece Salt 2 Tsp Tamarind water 1 cup Boiled Potato 1/2 cup Boiled Egg One Chopped Cucumber 1/2 cup Oil 2 tbsp
Step-1
First, I put some oil in a pan. Then I added chopped onion and green chili and fried it for a while.
Step-2
At this stage, I added the boiled double boots. Then I added 2 cups of hot water and cooked it for a while.
Step-3
At this stage, I mashed the boiled potatoes a little with my hands. I didn't smash them completely, I just broke them up a little. Then I mixed them well, cooked them for a while, and at the end, I added chopped coriander leaves.
Step-4
At this stage, I crushed the dried chilies that I had roasted. Then I added two teaspoons of chili powder, half a teaspoon of beet salt. After mixing everything, I added half a cup of tamarind pulp.
Step-5
In this step, I will mix some extra tamarind paste. So that whoever needs sourness can eat it in the chatpati. For this, I mixed the tamarind paste with chatpati masala and crushed chili flakes and mixed it well. Later, I served the chatpati in a bowl. I put chopped cucumber, chopped onion and chatpoti masala on top and spread it lightly and then put the egg on top and grated it.
Final result
