If you are looking for a fun departure from reality for a little bit, take a look at Pantheon by KR Paul.

The military urban fantasy takes you on a thrill ride with the main character; an Air Force officer who learns that she has the power to teleport.

She is swiftly whisked away to a secret organization within the military called Limitless Logistics, and the newest enabler for special and high priority missions. The reader is drawn into an elite military team with other "Jumper" operators known as the Pantheon.

These real-life superheroes fight to support US military and national objectives while simultaneously tracking down if any other Jumpers exist. The story sets the stage for what will inevitably be a series, while immersing you in remarkably accurate military culture and lingo.

The author is an Air Force officer and you can see the realism that is inserted into the story.

The characters are great and the dialogue legit. Although I would have wanted more character development, the non-stop action in the book kept me engaged for the whole thing. Easily a can't put it down book.

4.5/5
