The Ten Commandments of Your USA visit.

I. Thou shalt always remember you are in a vast land that is the same size as western Europe.

II. Thou shalt not call the USA “the states”. It is America until you go back home.

III. Thou shalt seek out the local restaurants and eat wonderful food. Avoid the chain restaurants that seek to entangle you.

IV. Thou shalt speak English for we do not know any other language.

V. Thou shalt not fear the south or the interior part of the country. Southerners are hospitable people with wonderful food and beautiful accents.

VI. Thou shalt visit the National Parks and State Parks, which are the most beautiful places in our country.

VII. Thou shalt not talk about international politics for we know little about how our country impacts yours.

VIII. Thou shalt forget everything you have seen in a Hollywood movie for we do not live out our fantasies.

IX. Thou shalt remember that a smile and a “how are you” is a formality not a conversation starter; unless you're at a party.

X. Thou shalt research the state(s) you are visiting for they are all vastly different from each other.
