The KYC: Very simple and quick with IDnow
The verification process with IDnow is carried out in compliance with the legal regulations and with specialized interlocutors. As part of the account opening process, the applicant must have their identity successfully verified with IDnow.
The easiest way for KYC is to install the Android or iOS app on your phone and do the video IDnow verification on your smartphone, this is as far as I remember EU wide possible and take absolutely no time. Maybe 10 minutes. Just follow my ref link or scan the following QR code with your mobile phone to download the app.
Who runs the Bitwala Wallets?
All Bitwala wallets are operated by the wallet provider BitGo. BitGo is one of the best known wallet providers and focuses on advanced Internet security.
Each wallet is assigned three keys. Two of these keys are required to use the wallet. The master key is created during the process of setting the wallet password. The master key is only presented to the creator of a wallet and must be noted down immediately. Then the second key, the backup key, is created and must also be written down by the creator.
The third key is the BitGo key (reference key), which is generated by BitGo and securely stored. Neither Bitwala nor BitGo have access to Bitwala Wallets.
In plain language this means that the wallets belong completely to the user, who is the only one who has the private keys, true to the principle "be your own bank".
At the moment you can create the ETH wallet only with mobile phone app, on desktop pc it is not implemented yet but it will be soon.
BTC works on both systems.
