That's a good question!
I was lost in the blue of the Atlantic ocean, in the waves, in the sky. So lost that I didn't noticed what was written on the wall. I took the pic, closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I let my mind fly away with the sound of the wind and all was perfect, all was lovely, all was good. I reached my house and started to see the photos I took and that's when I noticed the writing "Who killed the world" and a drawing of an eye.
The first thing that crossed my mind was "the world is not dead, what this person is talking about?" but then a thousand thoughts invaded my head. Being a person that loves metaphors I started dissecting the whole thing. The world is dead? We are killing the planet with garbage and pollution. Some humans are dead inside, living like zombies, not feeling anything, not knowing whats going on around them. The place was abandoned, that's also a type of death... why keep building things that no one will even use?
An empty place is a dead place, an empty heart is a dead heart. A person with a dead heart is just a vessel, an empty vessel is just an object and objects are not alive.
Then who killed the world? You did it, I did it, everyone did it!
Those words you say or didn't said, kill it...
Those lies you tell, killed it..
Never having time for your beloved ones, killed it...
Forcing yourself to do things you don't want, killed it...
Ignoring the problems instead of fixing it, killed it...
Harming yourself and others, killed it...
Not being yourself to please others, killed it...
Throwing trash everywhere, killed it...
What about the eye?
It can be your soul, it can be your mind, it can be God or the universe... The all seeing eye, watching how the world die. Your world, my world, everyone's world! Cause every person have their own world in their head and we are the ones who have to protect our own little worlds. So don't let anyone kill your world, don't kill it yourself... In a world full of death be alive!
