A tiny crown full of splendor, that's how I see the tiny hermit crabs. Beautiful shells decorated with patterns, colors and shapes placed everywhere. Inside those moving homes there are tiny crabs, most of them grumpy and scared and I don't blame them cause humans always grab them and throw them away and animals eat them. When you have to move your house everywhere you go you have to be cautious; you walk slow cause in your back there's a heavy object but also it makes you feel safe cause you can always hide no matter where you are.
Knowing you have a safe place with you always gives you peace but also makes you worry a lot cause anyone can harm your safe place. This tiny creatures are always on the go, always finding a safe place to put their beautiful shells. They hide as soon they see something gets near them, they "attack" when something or someone try to steal their home from them and oh boy, those tiny pincers can pinch really hard!

Humans doesn't need physical shells, we have the psychological ones. Sometimes that shell help us feel secure and in peace and sometimes is a prison making us hide away from all making us feel miserable and alone. Shells are supposed to protect us but instead we used them to run away and to shut down people. Not everyone that try to get near you is trying to hurt you. Just because someone broke your heart and trust doesn't mean the rest of the world will do the same. Fear is normal, fear is human but also fear will limit your life... it will destroy you, it will sadden you, it will steal the opportunity to be free and happy.
The problem is not the shell, the problem is how you use it. Changes always takes us by surprise, always shakes our lives. People will come and go, some of them will be real friends others will try to screw you just because... shutting yourself off is never good. Don't hide, don't fear opening up, don't fear loving, don't fear living!
