One day in the not too distant future, Bitcoin and its derivatives must go to Mars. Mars can range up to 22 min away by speed of light, yet block propagation among Bitcoin miners must occur every 10 min, on average. What now? This subreddit was created to investigate the world of ideas in near-future space colonisation, and which of the various derivatives of Bitcoin, or other crypto tech, is most likely to be capable of permissionlessly provoking it.
