Only El Salvador and the the Central Africa Republic adopted Bitcoin as legal currency, or legal tender, if we wanted to use some big words.
El Salvador doesn't even have its own currency, it uses the US Dollar, while the Central African Republic uses the Central African Republic Franc - or XAF.
So who's next?
According to CoinMarketCap users, Paraguay is the country that's most likely to be next.
Over 287,000 people believe that, including myself 'cause I also cast a vote.
Venezuela is second, followed by Anguilla. Interestingly, at no. 4, 5 and 6 you've got countries that I don't think will adopt Bitcoin.
Ukraine, the US and Russia.
Russia and the US won't, there's zero change, imho.
I understand the reasoning behind Ukraine's potential adoption but I don't think it's likely.
The top ten also features Zimbabwe, a country that has nine (!!!!) official currencies, Brazil, the UAE (this is a bit more likely) and India.
I was curious about Italy and Serbia, and I found them in 46th and 115th place respectively.
What do you think? What countries should / will adopt Bitcoin next? And where does your country stand on the list?
