I was doing what I always do, which is to do research for work I'll have to do instead of actually doing the work I already know I have to do, when I found an article that made me laugh.
Actually the story itself didn't make me laugh, it was short and not super interesting, but the headline was excellent.
It read: "Global Windows outage leaves Mac user even more smug than usual".
We know that the outage wasn't actually caused by Windows, but it did indeed only affect Windows, while Linux and Mac users were safe.
Problem is, you're either a Windows user or a Mac user, statistically, as Linux is used by a significantly smaller number of people.
And Linux users aren't smug, usually. Or if they are you don't notice, because there aren't that many of them.
But you can't say that about Mac users.
Mac users are very smug.
They want you to know they're on Mac not Windows. They brag about how seamless and fast and stable and trouble-free their Mac experience is.
"Oh your Windows froze? Wouldn't know about that I got a Mac you know"
"Yeah I always keep like 99 tabs open because it doesn't matter on a Mac anyway"
And so on.
Mac users are smug as they come. And how do I know that? Because I am one.
