Things are happening rather quickly.
A couple of days ago, the board of directors of OpenAI fired Sam Altman with a super harsh statement where they're basically he "was lying to us".
Those aren't the exact words but, when translated into plain English, that's what they meant.
Fans and industry experts alike were shocked and the board was considering reinstating Altman except they couldn't, because it was too late.
Just a few hours later, Microsoft announced Sam Altman, Greg Brockman (also from OpenAI), along with 505 (!) OpenAI employees would be leading the company's AI branch.
Just a few hours after that, OpenAI appointed Emmett Shear, co-founder of the gaming platform Twitch, as the interim CEO.
Shear founded Twitch as Justin.tv and then sold Twitch to Amazon for $1 billion.
You can't make this stuff up.
