Meta shareholders voted no to a proposal to add Bitcoin to the company's balance sheet, and it wasn't even close.
The 'Bitcoin treasury assessment' proposal garnered five billion votes in total, and only 3.92 million votes were in favour, that's less than 0.10% of the total.
Bitcoin advocate Ethan Peck proposed the measure, asking Meta to allocate part of its $72 billion cash reserves into Bitcoin but, clearly, Meta shareholders don't want to do that.
At the time of writing, there are 116 public companies with BTC in their balance sheets.
But of course there are thousands and thousands without it.
