Memecoin 'WIZ' is apparently a scam, and rapper Wiz Khalifa was a victim

By LeftFooted | bitcoinea | 5 Nov 2024

The X account of See You Again rapper Wiz Khalifa was reportedly hacked.

The scammers were apparently using Wiz Khalifa's account to shill a memecoin called WIZ.

Wiz Khalifa has no connection or involvement with WIZ and the memecoin, alas, is now worth zero.

The problem we see here is that X accounts are being compromised left and right, this is concerning.

Because either so many celebrities fail to take proper care of their cybersecurity, which is possible, or there's something wrong with X, which is also possible.

This is also ironic because, as some of you may have noticed, since Elon Musk bought it and turned it X, Twitter is no longer particularly crypto-friendly.

Algorithm changes seem to have damaged crypto accounts, which are no longer appearing in your feed the way they did before.

But this is a different conversation altogether.
