The FTX's bankruptcy ongoing drama is giving us daily updates.
It is also giving daily reasons to exclaim: WHAT THE ACTUAL FCUK?
So, in random order.
Last week, right after the scandal erupted, John J. Ray III - an American attorney that specialises in corporate bankruptcy - was appointed CEO of FTX, replacing SBF (who had previously resigned).
This is pretty standard, nothing to warrant a 'WHAT THE ACTUAL FCUK' moment.
Actually, Ray III also foresee the bankruptcy of Enron.
However, the bankruptcy filing that he filed in Delaware contains some pretty juicy bits of information.
First of all, and WHAT THE ACTUAL FCUK, FTX apparently didn't even have an accountant.
Secondly, God bless him, Mr Ray III is being paid $1,300 per hour for the job.
This is also in the filing.
Clearly, I made some wrong career choices along the way.
