You'd be excused for not noticing but Toncoin (TON) is currently the 9th largest cryptocurrency by market cap.

Toncoin, which is not available on Binance or Coinbase, by the way, is currently valued at $6.11, with a market cap of $21.19 billion.

How did it happen? I'm fairly sure it has to do with Telegram.

Telegram is a social messaging app that crypto people like for three reasons.

1, it is decentralised when you compare it to the likes of WhatsApp

2, the founder of Telegram recently said he holds "a few hundred million dollars in crypto" and

3, Telegram directly integrates Toncoin.

I used to hold TON but I sold it. Maybe it's time to get back on board.
