Stripe, an Irish-American payment company, just acquired a crypto startup for $1.1 billion.
The crypto startup in question is called 'Bridge' by the way, and it offers software to enable businesses to accept cross-border payments made with stablecoins.
This is a big deal for two reasons.
First, this is the largest acquisition by Stripe as of today.
And second, more to the point, it is the largest crypto acquisition ever.
