Nearly two years after placing my order and having already received and sold all of my airdrops, I finally took delivery of my Solana Seeker.
For those who've been living under a rock or are new to crypto, and I guess also for absolute Bitcoin maximalists, Seeker is Solana's second phone.
A few years ago, Solana launched Saga, an Android-based, crypto-focused smartphone that most people ignored because it cost $1,000.
Except, its cost was offset (big time) by the value of airdrops included if you bought the phone.
This kind flew under the radar for a very long time, but then Bonk exploded, and people realised a relatively generous Bonk airdrop came with Saga.
That opened the floodgates, because people started selling their Sagas online at a premium, and the memecoin frenzy also certainly benefitted from this.
Fast forward to about 1-2 years later, and Solana realised they could also cash in on this.
So what they did was they announced Saga Chapter Two, which a lot of people bought because they knew it would come with airdrops.
Which it did.
I bought it as soon as it was announced, and it cost me $450, which I more than made back in airdrops.
The phone was delivered to me roughly one and a year after I bought it (I ordered it in February 2024 and received it in late August 2025), and I'm probably gonna review it and, for now, I'm gonna keep it.
I'm a hardcore iPhone user, tbh, but I still want to use Seeker for other things, also because I'm probably going to keep it off the internet most of the time, and I'm also going to bring it to crypto events to see how people react.
