Relend Network was created because one of the things the crypto world doesn't have that the banking world does are fractional reserves.
Banks use fractional reserves and relend money all the time, and Relend wants to do that in crypto. They've even adopted a standard for it called ERC-7770, Fractional Reserve Token Standard.
Funds deposited into the network are automatically allocated as reserves and users receive yield for it.
It's interesting that so many crypto players are now trying to emulate what banks do, when crypto was created exactly to get away from banks.
But that's probably a different conversation altogether, isn't it?
