Brian Armstrong, CEO of Coinbase, said the next chair of the SEC will "owe Americans an apology" for the damage Gary Gensler's policies has done.
Gensler has spent the last few years fighting crypto in every possible way it could. But to no avail.
Crypto doesn't care about policy, so when Armstrong says Gensler's policies hurt Americans, not crypto, he's not wrong.
Trump said he'd fired Gensler "on day one" if elected, which is actually not possible because that's not how the SEC works.
But still, if Trump does get elected, Gensler will sure have to tone it down a notch.
But I wouldn't worry too much.
Gensler, like every other official, whether elected or unelected, will be gone at some point.
But crypto is here to stay.
