Demystifying the true Identity of Satoshi Nakamoto: Part 3

Demystifying the true Identity of Satoshi Nakamoto: Part 3

By everestbits | bitcoin | 27 Feb 2019

I personally cared less about who Nakamoto is in the first place until last year’s Bitcoin Cash (BCH) hard fork in November. Dr. Craig S. Wright led the hard fork that saw the creation of Bitcoin SV (Satoshi’s Vision) claiming that Bitcoin Core had deviated from the original intentions/vision of Satoshi Nakamoto. Dr. Craig has for long criticized recent modifications in Bitcoin Core such as Segwit, IP removal, etc, saying that according to the original white paper, these modifications where never advised but rather contradict the white paper.

From Dave and Craig’s email exchanges, it suggests that one of them is Satoshi and I'm convinced that it is Craig. Many people have bashed Craig’s claims and surely I did until I took time to make more research. What does Craig gain by claiming to be Satoshi?. Craig seems obsessed with Bitcoin and bringing it back on track and this can be seen in his subsequent interviews. He’s often asked obvious and straight questions but he instead diverts to reviving Bitcoin. I have followed Craig in the last 2 months and read most of his posts and I can tell that he’s the kind that wouldn’t easily appreciate someone’s ideas before bashing them as scam or lacking outright use cases. He’s quite a difficult person to deal with and Gavin noted that the person he was communicating with in the early Bitcoin days, was difficult to deal with to. Gavin stresses that, “I could be wrong about Craig, but I don’t think I’m”. Now, we all know that Gavin is a good guy and the first thing I’m willing to rule out is that he was coerced to validate Craig’s claims. Gavin seemed blown away after meeting Craig. There’s no way that Craig could have proved to Gavin that “I’m that Burger you’ve been communicating with”, without certain facts that can only be achieved if he really was Satoshi. In that conversation, Gavin could have spotted atleast one red flag and invalidated Craig, but he seemed to find none.

The problem with accepting Craig as Satoshi is that most people believe that his personality is far from what Satoshi would be and thus disband his claim. I personally think, that Craig is Satoshi and only time will tell. People have so many expectations and think Satoshi should be a genius of sorts, a calm nerd and stuff but I believe that geniuses have not changed the world as much as hard working men have. Look at the world around us, only hard work has changed the world. Again, I 100% believe that being a Bitcoin creator doesn’t make you flawless and so is Craig. I will appreciate your personal opinions on the matter and I’m still committed to finding the truth and even though they say ignorance is bliss, I believe knowing who Satoshi is, is very important, very important more than people claim it ain’t. In my next post, I will try to examine the implications of Craig being Satoshi. What if he is, then what???????.
