After fan token, AC Milan will allow fans to 'own' a virtual piece of the San Siro
During home matches, whenever something happens in the owned area of the pitch, users will get points and rewards. AC Milan and Fanblock have entered into a sizzling partnership that will allow fans to "own" a sod of the San Siro, but not literally.

Specifically, this new partnership will allow AC Milan fans to purchase "Fanblocks," or tokens that represent a virtual piece of the soccer field. During home matches, whenever something happens on the area of the field owned, users'll get some points and some rewards. The main goal of this partnership, the team explains in a press release, is to foster interaction with fans and improve fan engagement through the use of innovative tools. The world of soccer is increasingly interested in the opportunities offered by blockchain technology. Outside of the Peninsula, this summer, Spanish soccer great FC Barcelona secured 120 million euros in funding for its Web3 initiative, known as Barça Vision.
In Italy, too, we're seeing the emergence of initiatives that combine soccer and blockchain. Starcks, co-founded by Alessandro Moggi and Emanuele Floridi, recently announced Starcks Game: a fantasy game that allows users to buy tokens representing various soccer stars, whose value is directly linked to their performance on the field. On each day of the Serie A championship, Starcks users'll have to field the ideal lineup by choosing from the tokens in their possession in order to win on the field and obtain the prizes up for grabs.
That other teams will decide to move and take a cue from the initiative of the few historical clubs that have decided not to stand by and watch but begin to open up in the digital world long ago.
